Project: Woodberry Down
ARTIQ curated a temporary art collection for the Berkeley Homes’ Skyline show apartment at Woodberry Down.
The high quality art collection was carefully chosen to enhance the luxurious and modern design by London based interior design studio Hudson and Mercer, with the works focussing on themes of nature and community to reflect the unparalleled living experience beside one of the most unique natural sites in London.
Art Consultant and founder of ARTIQ Patrick McCrae selected a collection of large and small scale affordable works by local artists to showcase the burgeoning artistic talent within the area.
“Their placement at either side of the bed allude to the individual characters within the home, whilst Maxwell’s landscape pieces, with their amazing depth, resonate well with the Woodberry Down landscape; ‘Forager 2’ alludes to the reeds and wilderness of the nature reserve and ‘Chromium’ to the reflective qualities of the reservoirs.”
The project was featured in Source Magazine with Patrick McCrae sharing his thoughts on curating the collection at Woodberry Down and how art plays a big part in making a house a home. Click here to read more (pages 35, 36): http://www.berkeleygroup.co.uk/media/pdf/i/9/Source_Issue_4.pdf
