Runner Up: Representation by ARTIQ, £500 art materials voucher from Atlantis Art Supplies

All shortlisted artists will be exhibited in a group exhibition and exclusive private viewing event in the City of London where the winner will be announced.

About the prize
The Graduate Art Prize was established in 2012 by ARTIQ and Herbert Smith Freehills and is open to all final year students on BA and MA degree courses at British art colleges or universities. Now in its sixth year, the prize continues to grow in reach and status, receiving submissions from colleges and universities from every corner of the UK.

From the entries, around 20 artists will be shortlisted to take part in a group exhibition and exclusive private viewing event where the winner and runner-up positions will be announced. The event will be attended by corporate collectors, art patrons, journalists and buyers. Last year’s private view, held at Herbert Smith Freehills’ City of London office, attracted over 200 attendees with 75% of the works available sold on the night.

All shortlisted artists will also get the opportunity to sign with ARTIQ and have their work represented to our client-base of international corporates, hotels and residential projects. Founded in 2009, ARTIQ’s mission is to ensure fair pay for artists and to bridge the divide between the art and business worlds. Through intelligent art curation, ARTIQ enables businesses to utilise the power of art to improve wellbeing, communicate brand and enhance guest experience, working with a portfolio of workplace, hospitality and residential clients from across the EMEA region to bring outstanding art to outstanding spaces. ARTIQ is engaged in a variety of public initiatives from public art installations to charity art auctions and the annual Graduate Art Prize.
To date, ARTIQ has paid over £2million to artists.
