Lead Curator

ARTIQ is a fast-growing, market leading art consultancy based in London. ARTIQ works with some of the best artists around, giving clients unrivalled access to unique and inspiring artwork. Artists get paid fairly and clients get beautiful, relevant art collections.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Ensure expert delivery of research and curations for all sale and rental clients
2. To be present at all key client pitches and assist in looking after key client relationships
3. To be an ambassador for the company, contributing to and seeking out new business opportunities
4. To act as an inspirational and knowledgeable manager for the curatorial team

Specific Responsibilities:
– Produce considered research in the form of beautifully presented art packages in response to client briefs
– Deliver briefs and curations in person to clients, helping to develop and nurture both new and existing client relationships
– Curate collections and exhibitions for the scope of specific projects
– Report regularly to the Senior Management Team with updates on curatorial team progress against KPIs
– Lead on curatorial for ARTIQ company projects such as the annual Graduate Art Prize and Queer Frontiers
– Maintain a keen understanding of the company’s key markets and propose innovations
– Advocate for ARTIQ within the creative industry, advising on new artists and institutions to sign
– Represent the company at networking events across the creative and business industries
– Maintain confidentiality and integrity about the company and always ensure confidential documents are securely stored

Requirements:
– Educated to degree level or equivalent
– Experience in art valuation
– Experience in licensing agreements
– A strong existing network in the creative arts
– Computer proficiency including MS Office, Adobe, InDesign
– Excellent communication, both written and spoken
– Strong administration and organisational skills
