ARTIQ appoints Tazie Taysom as Commercial Director
ARTIQ, the UK’s leading art rental experts, has appointed Tazie Taysom to the ARTIQ board as Commercial Director.
Tazie joins founders Patrick McCrae (CEO) and Don McCrae (Finance Director) along with Katie Terres (Chief Operating Officer) on the board of ARTIQ, which has secured more than £9m corporate investment into the arts and paid out more than £3m to artists, art makers and institutions since its launch 10 years ago.
Tazie’s work at ARTIQ to date has focussed on directing and managing the in-house consultancy and curatorial teams as well as leading projects herself with clients across the workplace, hospitality and residential sectors.
Amongst the dozens of events ARTIQ runs every year are the annual Graduate Arts Prize, which it founded and co-sponsors with Herbert Smith Freehills, and the Queer Frontiers exhibition during Pride Month, sponsored by Hiscox.
Patrick McCrae, Chief Executive of ARTIQ, said:
“Tazie’s work since joining the business in 2016 has been hugely impressive, her drive and dedication to what we are doing at ARTIQ is infectious. She has proven herself not only in terms of sales success, but also in helping build our team and working with the sales and wider team to bring us above our £3.1m target of 2019. I am delighted that she has accepted this offer and will join me, Katie and Don to help us push the business to the next level in the coming months and years.”
Tazie Taysom, Commercial Director of ARTIQ, said:
“I am hugely excited about working with Patrick and Don in my new position, ensuring we continue to provide an outstanding service not only to our clients, but also the artists we work with. Having beaten our 2019 financial target I look forward to spearheading the future initiatives through which our profits can be reinvested in the next generation of up-and-coming artists.”
