The Graduate Art Prize returns for its seventh year! Enter now

The Graduate Art Prize is back for its seventh year, offering a career-kickstarting prize to help support artist graduates from across the UK. The prize is open to all final year students on BA and MA degree courses at British art colleges and universities.

About the Prize
Established in 2013 by leading art consultancy, ARTIQ and global law firm, Herbert Smith Freehills, the prize has continued to grow in reach and status each year, receiving submissions from colleges and universities from every corner of the UK.

Artists are encouraged to reply via an open call. From the entries, around 20 artists will be shortlisted by a panel of judges. Each selected artist will then be entered into ARTIQ’s voting tool and the winner selected by public vote.

The shortlist will take part in a group exhibition and exclusive private viewing event where the winner and runner-up positions will be announced.

Prizes Announced!
ARTIQ are delighted to announce the prizes for the 2019 edition, including the addition of an exclusive mentorship programme by ARTIQ, developed to celebrate the art consultancy’s tenth anniversary:

– £2,000 cash prize from Herbert Smith Freehills
– £500 art materials voucher from Atlantis Art Suppliers

The Event
The shortlist exhibition will take place in October, and will be attended by corporate collectors, art patrons, journalists and buyers. Last year’s private view, held at Herbert Smith Freehills’ City of London office, attracted over 200 attendees with 75% of the works available sold on the night.

All shortlisted artists will also get the opportunity to sign with ARTIQ and have their work represented to our client-base of international corporates, hotels and residential projects.
