Nestled in the heart of Westminster, Corinthia London is one of the city's most luxurious hotels. Its origins date back to 1885, when the grand Metropole Hotel first opened on this site. Later repurposed as part of the Ministry of Defence, this Belle Époque landmark was transformed into Corinthia London in the early 2000s and has since offered an unrivalled combination of location, service, and style.
As part of an extensive refurbishment, our team developed a new curatorial strategy for Corinthia London that celebrates its rich history through art. Designed by the GA Group and managed by Argenta Projects, the refurbishment looks to modernise while preserving its British heritage.
We were appointed to curate and procure an art collection that embodies the playful, colourful, and creative spirit integral to this iconic hotel.

In the reimagined guest suites, the art honours the hotel’s heritage and history, reinterpreted through the work of emerging and mid-career British artists, including Sabrina Brouwers, Charlotte Aiken, and Sophie Viet-Jacobsen. Their contemporary pieces are thoughtfully paired with archival imagery and illustrations, sourced in collaboration with the Victoria & Albert Museum archives, bridging the gap between past and present. Seamlessly integrated into the interiors, accessories, and architectural elements, the collection contributes to a cohesive and evocative design.
Together, the art and interiors enhance the timeless elegance for which Corinthia London is renowned, while infusing the hotel with the cultural prestige of the city.
