We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Artiq’s inaugural Creative Careers Prize, debuting at this year’s Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair.
At Artiq, our mission has always been to expand opportunities for artists and makers, building a sustainable arts economy where creativity can thrive. Alongside fair financial compensation, our model invests in in the long-term careers of our artists through a robust engagement programme designed to foster community, visibility, and creative growth.
The Creative Careers Prize continues this commitment. Selected from WCPF’s Curated Hang, the award celebrates the outstanding artistic potential of an artist at the beginning of their career, offering dedicated mentorship and professional development from the Artiq team to help build a sustainable creative practice.
Over the course of a year, the selected artist will collaborate with us to shape a tailored programme of support that includes mentorship, industry connections, marketing exposure, and practical insights to nurture their artistic journey and professional growth.
We’re especially excited to support an independent artist who is not currently represented by a gallery. Together, we’ll work to amplify their visibility and help them take the next steps in their career with confidence and creativity.
We look forward to announcing the winner of the Creative Careers Prize during the fair, and to celebrating their work as part of this year’s event. It’s an exciting step in our ongoing mission to champion artists and support the growth of lasting, sustainable creative careers.
