After studying graphic design at university, Fatima embarked on a career in teaching. She considers her artistic practice to be a sanctuary from the rigours of daily life and finds solace in creation and its ability to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.

She uses her lens to venture into alternate realities and enjoys pushing the boundaries of reality to offer viewers a passport to a different time and place.
