Dr Suzi Morris is a Scottish painter living and working in London. Using oil paint, her work explores the relationship between art, virology and the concept of the sublime. Through an experimental process of composition and erasure Suzi’s paintings evolve through veils of translucent colour that combine aesthetic, historic and scientific concerns.

For example, her fascination with the misrepresentation of viruses. Commonly understood as a villainous thing, viruses play a vital role in the human body and the evolution of life on Earth. Suzi's practice is also influenced by symbolic interpretations of colour and combines references from traditional landscape and classical painting.

Suzi was awarded a Professional Doctorate in Fine Art Painting from the University of East London after completing an MA in Fine Art from The City & Guilds of London Art School.
