Purpose of the role
To design creative concepts in response to a variety of briefs that will form the basis of insightful, thoughtful, and unique artwork collections. Using strong research skills, you will uncover and build relationships with exciting emerging artists, curating their work into Artiq’s projects and presenting them to our clients.
You will work in collaboration with our Art Consultants (Sales) and Operations teams to successfully implement client feedback and design strategy, translating this into curatorial work. You will have an extensive network of artists, with international connections being a plus, and experience in handling artist negotiations and special projects such as commissions.

Key responsibilities
• Respond creatively and enthusiastically to all client briefs across a range of sectors (including workplace, hospitality, public realm and higher education), implementing strong research abilities to form proposals.
• Design and create professional and creative presentations to confidently present artists to our clients, whilst adhering to our Artiq brand guidelines.
• Be hands on and detail oriented when designing your art collections – focusing on the overall concepts whilst ensuring the finer details are executed seamlessly. Confident working with excel would be desirable.
• Produce considered research in the form of meticulously presented art packages in response to a consultant requirement or brief.
• Curate collections and exhibitions for the scope of specific projects. Utilise project management concepts and an agile framework in order to execute on low and high-volume collections.
• Deliver curatorial work in accordance with project budgets, ensuring accurate pricing at all times.
• Consider and compile framing options for artwork, ensuring all selected frames are in line with interior design specifications, suited to the artwork and considered in line with project budgets.
• Attend client briefings with Art Consultants and present information in meetings about Artiq’s artists and suppliers.
• Adhere to cross departmental processes and team work, with both Sales Consultants and Operational Project Managers, to deliver projects seamlessly and profitably.
• Always promote and be an ambassador for the Company by attending industry events (specifically in the spheres of Hospitality, Interior Design and Architecture).
• Where relevant, assist with the running and organisation of events and exhibitions.
• Work with the Artist & Partnerships team to advise on new artists for Artiq to represent.
• Always maintain the confidentiality and integrity of the Company and ensure all confidential documents are securely stored.

What we're looking for
• Experience of working in a Curator role of approx. 2-3 years, ideally in an Art or Design Agency.
• A confident, determined, passionate curation professional who will hit the ground running and has the desire to build a career at Artiq.

Salary
c.£30,000 plus discretionary bonus
