Celebrating Pride London 2022, Brookfield Properties and Artiq presented Queer Frontiers: An Exhibition Celebrating the Work of Ashton Attzs. The pop-up exhibition was on display across six Brookfield Properties buildings in the Square Mile, running for the duration of Pride Month 2022 and fully open to the public.
Ashton's style and work are instantly recognisable on account of the joy and vibrancy that runs through their compositions, which set out scenes of everyday life, celebrating the richness of diversity and inclusion throughout life.
Exhibited at Brookfield Properties Citypoint-location was the original commission 'Every Hour is Ours'. The diptych perfectly summarises Ashton’s artistic practice by the vibrant scene of a community interacting and existing in a London scene, joining both the sunshine of daylight with the celebration of night.
The exhibition closed with a panel talk featuring Ashton, Artiq CEO Patrick McCrae and Caitlin Warfield, Vice President of Marketing at Brookfield Properties. The talk saw the panellists discussing creating queer spaces within the commercial and property sectors.
