The OWO’s shareholders had a clear vision for the art strategy, aiming to reflect the historical heritage and sensitivities of such a grand building while showcasing contemporary talent.
Artiq, alongside an exclusive group of institutions, artists and creative shareholders, were selected to support this vision by curating part of the overall art collection.
Artiq, alongside an exclusive group of institutions, artists and creative shareholders, were selected to support this vision by curating part of the overall art collection.
Over the past four years, the Artiq team has successfully designed, procured, and curated an art collection for the guestrooms, heritage suites, corridors and some notable moments within the public areas, such as the magnificent ballroom and the new culinary destination by renowned chef Mauro Colagreco.
These curations all needed to be worthy of the historical heritage and sensitives of such a grand building. Tapping into the local creative community, the collection highlights the best artistic talent living and working in London today.

Comprising 1200 artworks by over 50 artists, this collection is one of our most extensive to date, and we're excited for guests to discover the outstanding art and inspiring stories now on display within the building.
A collaborative effort with multiple institutions, artists, and other creative shareholders, it's been a privilege for Artiq to be part of the evolution of the Old War Office.

Mauro Colagreco is an Argentine chef who earned three Michelin stars at the restaurant Mirazur in Menton, France. His first London venture celebrates the finest seasonal ingredients, all sourced from Great Britain. Exquisitely crafted to evoke the shapes of nature, Mauro Colagreco at Raffles London at The OWO offers a dining experience of theatre and beauty.
The creative direction for both art and culinary explorations fuses land, colour, and flavour, drawing inspiration from the vibrant hues of Latin America, the romantic vineyards of the rolling French hills, and the wildflowers and woodlands of the UK, perfect for foraging and harvesting. The art on display pays homage to the restaurant's globally inspired sense of culinary exploration.
