Artiq is a finalist for the inaugural For the Love of Art Award
at the 2026 Brit List Awards, recognising
our work at Six Senses London.
We’re excited to announce that Artiq has been named a finalist for the For the Love of Art Award at the 2026 Brit List Awards, Hotel Designs’ nationwide search to find the top designers, hoteliers and hospitality suppliers operating in Britain.
New for 2026, the award celebrates the role of art within hospitality, recognising those championing creativity and making a meaningful connection between art and the built environment. It’s a fitting acknowledgement of the approach we’ve built our work around: that exceptional hospitality experiences are shaped not only by architecture and interiors, but by the artists who give a place its cultural identity.
Our submission focuses on our work for Six Senses London at The Whiteley, one of the UK’s most anticipated hotel openings of the past year. Working closely with Six Senses and interior designers AvroKO, we curated and commissioned more than 400 artworks across the hotel’s guest rooms, public spaces, restaurants, members’ areas, meeting rooms and spa.
Inspired by The Whiteley’s history as an “emporium of the senses”, the collection brings together predominantly London-based artists whose practices respond to the building’s heritage, architecture and the Six Senses philosophy of wellbeing, sustainability and sensory experience. From Lisa Price’s bespoke works, to Rachael Addis’ richly textured paintings and Ana Benavides’ commission for the Alchemist’s Library Bar, each work contributes to a considered sense of place.
The project reflects our belief that art can be an integral part of a space’s identity, rather than an addition to it. By championing artists and developing work in close dialogue with the wider design of the hotel, we aim to create collections that add depth, character and cultural connection to the guest experience.
We’re delighted to have our work recognised in the first year of the For the Love of Art Award, and look forward to celebrating alongside this year’s finalists at the Brit List Awards on 5 November.
