James Grossman is a London-based sculptor whose practice explores the intersection of emerging technologies and nature’s hidden systems. Drawing on his background in Product Design and a deep fascination with organic forms, he creates tactile sculptural installations that featured in our exhibition at Clerkenwell Design Week and are currently installed within Artiq’s collection for a major global law firm.
James' work navigates the blurred boundary between the natural and digital realms, using digital simulation, computational processes, and contemporary fabrication to construct speculative environments. Through sculptural forms that echo the patterns, flows, and structures found within living systems, he translates subtle natural rhythms into physical form.
These works often capture the sensation of movement held in suspension—moments drawn from processes of growth, movement, and transformation. By merging digital craftsmanship with references to the organic world, James invites viewers to pause and reconnect with nature, reimagined through a technological lens.
